New hours for the Puppy Social

We hope this posting finds you well.

First, we would like to thank all of the dedicated puppy owners out there that have been bringing their little ones for the Puppy Social sessions here at Little Paws Inn! This program has been a huge success in the development of so many little ones that have now gone on to be Jr. grown ups in our regular daycare.
​
Little Paws Inn will now host the Puppy Social Sessions on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
​
Sessions will still be two hours long and start at 10am and run until Noon. We hope that the Saturday opportunity will help those that cannot make a mid-day, mid-week session fit into their schedule.
We are looking at examining the interest in one evening session a week as well. However, we will need to hear your feed back before moving ahead on this one. So if you feel an evening session would work for you, let us know and if we gather enough interest then we can make that happen.

"WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER A PUPPY?"
​
We would like to offer these sessions to owners that have newbies. Ages as young as 8-12 weeks up to 12 months old. Keep in mind, if the puppy is older that 7 months, they will need to be spayed or neutered.

"WHAT IF MY DOG IS JUST A LITTLE BIT OLDER THAN 12 MONTHS? THEY ARE STILL PUPPIES!"

Yes they are... However, at this age you can bring them down and incorporate them into our regular daycare for their socialization needs as long as they have been spayed or neutered and vaccines are up to date. Our daycare dogs are under constant supervision and our staff will monitor them for added security. We host Daycare for big and small sizes separately or they can join one another.

"WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THIS TYPE OF PLAYTIME?"
​
A couple things.
First and foremost, your new puppy will receive a structured play environment with a ton of Socialization. Yes... Puppies even need to learn how to play! This event is the supervised event and one of our Team members will be in the bay the whole time to monitor play activity and intervene when necessary. We ONLY use positive re-enforcement techniques so to encourage confidence in your puppy which is critical at this stage of their development.

Secondly, THIS IS TWO FULL HOURS TO BURN OFF SOME PUPPY ENERGY!! That alone is priceless! We should charge more!!
​
Just drop your puppy off at Little Paws, go do your grocery run, grab a coffee, or do whatever you did before you adopted a tornado! (if you can even remember)

"I LOVE THE PUPPY SOCIAL IDEA, BUT I AM LOOKING FOR A MORE STRUCTURED TRAINING PROGRAM. CAN YOU HELP ME OUT?"
Of course! This puppy social is solely for introducing your puppy to others for a socialization foundation. We offer a more in depth training course. Please go to our TRAINING Section to find out more on our 5 week programs consisting of one hour evening sessions each. Very easy to fit into a schedule.

"OK, I'M IN... WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?'
​
We will need you to register your pet with Little Paws Inn and this can be done by clicking on the register a new pet below. We will need proof of round 2 vaccinations to accompany your puppy at check in. Due to popularity of this event, we encourage interested parties to book ahead. You can do this by calling 780-757-2971 and securing your spot.

Having a new addition to the house is a big responsibility and a big change to the old routine. Having a well trained dog is the envy of all other pet owners alike.
​
Start the training early... Start introducing your new little one to other little ones right out of the gate. Socialization is one of the key factors that influence our dogs in becoming the grown up we want them to be. Couple that with a well balanced positive re-enforcement training regime and you have the advantage over the majority.
​
Drop your Puppy off at Little Paws Inn for a couple hours for a little bit of structured play time with others their own age. This will be the first step in building a solid socialization foundation.
